My Chandra

My Chandra was inspired by Chandramukhi from the movie Devdas. She is dressed in gold ghagra-choli, and is sparkling from head to toe in traditional Indian jewelry: the tiara, vindi, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and anklets. Her hands and feet are decorated with henna.

What exotically beautiful dolls! If these are your firsts, I think you definitely have a gift and quite a steady hand to do that perfect henna work on the hands! Beautiful.

Hi Jody! :D
Thanks for your kind words :)

Actually, I've been making the 1:12 scale female dolls since the beginning of the year. Dev, the doll shown below is the first (and only) 1:12 male doll I ever made. But this girl isn't the first of the female dolls. I can actually feel that I am getting better the more I make them, although I still have a long way to go...

Why does all of your Indian dolls have very fair "skin"?
